Our Mission
To provide cultural enrichment, discipline, and positive self-esteem in all children through the art of dance.
Purpose
The purpose of Iibada Dance Company is to educate youth in the beauty, strength, and discipline of dance.
History
Iibada was founded in 1989 under the direction of Sabra Logan. Through many years of teaching and performing various dance styles, she developed a desire to inspire youth to be positive, young men and women. Thus iibada was born.
Iibada Dance Company is a not for profit 501c3 organization.
The organization consist of two companies a training company and performance company. The training company offer dance classes for children ages 5-18. Dance training consists of twelve weeks sessions of African, Modern/Jazz, Pre-ballet and Hip-Hop. Find out more by reviewing our detailed class schedule.
The performing company ages are 7-21 you must audition to be part of this company and previous dance experience is a requirement.
Each Iibada member receives technical dance training, dance education and history, inner strength and discipline, exposure to live performances, life experience, self expression, and the value of teamwork.
Showcases and Concerts
The Iibada Dance Company brings forth an experience that will dazzle the senses with colorful costumes, pulsating drums and electrifying dance. Concerts are performed with the entire company and are designed for a full stage production. Showcases are performed with a smaller company, tailored to fit smaller venues. Both the concerts and showcases are events that will not be forgotten.

Workshops
Iibada offers workshops that are designed to educate the youth on various styles of dance technique such as African, Modern/Praise and Jazz. The workshops stress African Heritage. Children learn the value of hard work and discipline that are necessary to become dancers.
We welcome church groups and any type of youth ministry to order a workshop for their dance ministry.
Our Goals
Iibada plans to reach higher heights in our development as a company and stronger voice in the community. In doing so we are in great need of supporters, teachers, and volunteers for our upcoming events. Iibada has begun seeking financing via: grants, small business loans, and public and private philanthropists to expand our organization. Those interested in contributing to our efforts in enriching and inspiring youth in the community.
